Startup problem on new ssd

I upsized from a .5 tb to a 1 tb Samsung ssd. Ran the installer. Got started up to the settings page. At step 2, trying to 'setup storage' on the ssb, I got " Error: unable to create dvr directory: mkdir /media/DVR: permission denied"

How do I get around that ?

By "ran the installer" do you mean you used the Pi imager?
