Streaming to the tuner failed

Streaming to the tuner failed. Press play to try again. (Device Disk Full)

I get this message when there is a problem with the signal, both HDHR and internet streaming. I think it is misleading.

Also, what does it mean streaming to the tuner? Overall, very confusing.

Please try the latest TestFlight beta for the fix for this.

i've been dealing with this for 6 months on 3 different appletvs. when will this be released to production. i have 20tbs free DVR and my newest gen atvs only have channels installed.

no, i can't use the "testflight" beta.

The "device disk" is generally your client device, not the DVR. Your Apple TV likely doesn't have the free space, so consider deleting/offloading some apps.

You can, but you are choosing not to.

did you not read where i said i have only channels installed? the one i added in january started showing it a week after install. they've already said as much they know it's an issue. my wife and i love being interrupted watching a show every 30 mins to hour with this message.

go look into the docs for testflight beta. even the devs can't give a clear answer as to whether an apple device besides an appletv is required. absolute mess. doesn't matter anyway, as i don't have time to beat test software i pay good money for.

this forum is basically dead but you're still here simping at midnight, haha. i hope these guys are paying you  :joy:

and i REALLY hope for a better alternative or tvio revival. god i pray!

EDIT: at least they finally fixed the bug i reported where the completely wrong content would playback

FYI to use the beta app:

  • on your Apple TV, go to the App Store, search TestFlight, click Install, open the app
  • send us the apple ID email logged into your Apple TV
  • we add that email and the beta appears on your TV

If we get confirmation that the fixes help then we can prioritize a new stable release.

Otherwise this issue generally happens with the client side storage is getting full, so deleting some unused apps could help.
