TVE channel 6758 NBC News Broken

NBC News Now (TVE channel 6758) has been broken for a couple of days. Launching channel fails with error "Stream Not Available". Also CBS News (TVE channel 6722) has much poorer Picture Quality resolution than it used to have. Hoping these channels can be restored.

CBS quality is fixed in next build.

NBC News appears to have changed streaming servers and is using a format that's not compatible with Channels. We have no choice but to remove it.

its available on nbc.com\live can that make it work?

Thanks for checking it out. Too bad about NBC but, thankfully, it is available on other sources like Pluto and Samsung TV Custom Channels.

No, it looks like they're in the middle of changing their streaming platform. We may lose access to all the stations on that website if they decide to switch over completely.

Oof. I don’t envy you if that happens. Thankfully I never watch anything on tve with those.

The PLUTO feed of NBC News Now is still working.

They still have their feed on youtube also. NBC News - YouTube

Works great with jkister's method in channels... An easy way for Channels DVR to watch YouTube Live vids

Disappointing. I watch NBC News Now regularly and have always appreciated the excellent Channels interface. Having to switch away from the Channels app to the NBC News app removes the ease and spontaneity of just changing channels that the Channels DVR app does so well. I hope that this can be rectified.

Out of Channels control... This is what you need to do (above). Once you do this, pick a guide provider for the custom channel and then find the old channel in the guide for NBC News Now. Select it and then you have guide data as well. Everything back to normal...

That works. Thanks.

But, today it doesn't work.

Got “The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported.” along with an NBC logo

Replaced v= with today's v= but got no response at all.

I'm sure it is in there somewhere. I will try again later with more patience.

Thank you.

Is this what you're using?

https://kister.net/mpl/yt2m3u8?v=@NBCNews

It should persist from day to day.

No. That is not what I was using. Yesterday the Youtube link ended in v=aclLPvY6sc0 and it worked following https://kister.net/mpl/yt2m3u8? in the custom channel. Today the v= was different and did not work.

But all that is irrelevant as the https://kister.net/mpl/yt2m3u8?v=@NBCNews does work.

I must have misunderstood.

But it is working now.

Thank you for your patience.

If you're using the Kister method or hlstube, keep in mind that the Live urls (like https://www.youtube.com/@NBCNews/live) only work for youtube sites that have a single live feed.
If they normally do, but add one or more live feeds, it doesn't work.
That's because using /live gets redirected by youtube to the sites single live feed, or to the Live section of the site (https://www.youtube.com/@NBCNews/streams) if more than one live feed is available.

So if it stops working again, check https://www.youtube.com/@NBCNews/streams to see if they have more than one live feed going.

Do you know happen to know of a current site whose /live redirects to /streams with multiple live feeds?

Thank you.

I remember a couple that acted that way many months ago.
Appears the behavior has changed since then.
https://www.youtube.com/@SkyNews/live currently has 3 live feeds and you get redirected to the newest one
https://www.youtube.com/@SpaceX/live currently has no live stream and you get redirected to https://www.youtube.com/@SpaceX/streams
