VPN built in to the client

Love the idea on the tailscale in the server, however some folks dont have the ability to add the client to their devices and or router. So wonder if its possible to have it built in to the apk, have a button saids vpn and connect it and have user authenticate from that point, then connect to the dvr server?

Tailscale was built-in to the Channels Server and Clients, but not sure it's available or supported anymore NEW: DVR Server + Tailscale integration, for easier Away from Home access (Experimental)

I use OS based Tailscale on my servers and Clients.

its on the server. .not client. You will have to download the tailscale client on to the device that you want it to connect to the server.. Just be nice to add the extra button to connect to tailscale on the client side, user auth, then enter the server side vpn ip.. and now your consider local. Thier are some devices and routers that doesnt allow you to use 3rd party vpns.. so client app built with the dvr is great option.

You're late to the party.
They had it on the client devices, but removed it, and it won't be coming back.
Use native Tailscale on the OS Client.

Although it may still be available on the CDVR Server, it's not supported and you should be using the native OS version instead.

If you want an Official statement, ask the developers. I'm just a paying CDVR User, like you.

What @chDVRuser said is the case. We won't be adding it to the client software. Please use the system's Tailscale support.

We understand that some devices don't allow VPNs. You should consider not compatible with how you're trying to connect to Channels.
