Having an issue as well. Xfinity is the provider, and other Xfinity-provided TVE channels seem to work. Just getting "Playback failed." On 2021.05.26.1807.

Anyone Else having a recent problem with Weather Channel on Spectrum?

The stream comes from a cached version of the webpage everyone is talking about. They took the website down but the stream kept working. Now maybe the stream is down too. Usually in the past it goes down and comes back by itself. Only time will tell. If the stream is gone then it's gone. Nothing we can do about it until they bring their website back.

Are you suggesting Channels starts streaming from Pirate sites?

Not at all. Read my post.
I said didn't know where they got their stream from.
I don't sniff traffic or dig for m3u's and figured somebody knew.
If it's a pirate site, I'll delete my post.

I tried to add that link to channels but I just get:

when I try to play one of them. It looks like channels doesn't know how to use a manifest that only has relative links to the transport streams. The same HLS stream in MPV works fine.

Do you think this site is paying for the rights to rebroadcast expensive news sites? Also they would also have to pay for all NBC, Warner channels just not the news

watchnews.pro and their affiliated sites—such as the one linked above—are definitely operating in a grey area. While there is no overt evidence they are pirating otherwise valid streams, there is also nothing to show that they are fully legit.
