Web-ui live stream does not start in Safari

I can no longer watch live channels via web-ui. The transcoder runs fast and displays that it is running. But the stream does not start. I can play recordings, however. I can even play a recording that is currently recording, but only when accessed from the recordings tab. It will not play live from the on-now or guide tabs. It will play live in Chrome.

This used to work, so some software change in either Channels or Safari has introduced a new bug.

Is this on Safari 11? macOS 10.12 or 10.13?

safari 11, 10.13
but the same is true using safari on iOS 11

I’m seeing the same on iOS 11.0 Safari as well

This sounds similar to my problems, so I’ll add that I get the same with Safari 11 on both Sierra and High Sierra, as well as iOS 11. Safari on iOS 10.3.3 seems to work though!

Live stream works on MacOS 10.13.1. So this is fixed on Mac with an Apple update… hopefully, an iOS update will follow.

EDIT: not completely fixed. Sometimes it requires a click to and from Safari tabs. Something still broken.
Or, if stream is started on MacOS, same channel will work in iOS
A swipe to a different desktop with mission control also works.

Try upgrading to 2017.09.27.1918 with curl

Definitely fixed for Safari for me! Seems to have broken Edge though :slightly_frowning_face: (it starts but frequently pauses/loses sound).
