What causes orphan recording files?

finally had time to try this. both scripts gave me similar weird numbers

Checking storage paths for files...
 -> Found 9 files in C:\channels-data\Movies
 -> Found 116 files in C:\channels-data\TV
 -> Found 171 files in F:\CDVR\Movies
 -> Found 35 files in F:\CDVR\TV
 -> Found 132 files in E:\CDVR\TV
 -> Found 65 files in D:\CDVR\TV
 -> Found 0 files in Z:\CDVR\TV
-> Found a total of 180 files on disks.

Found 48 orphaned recordings:

EDIT: @mjitkop the found files in x:\x\tv are most likely the number of folders.

I think the orphaned are likely correct. I still need to verify them.
also what are we to do with them? move to the import dir?

Thank you for the feedback, @Shaggylive.

I will try to find some time this week to take a look at it.
I may ask you privately to run a different version of the script that will show more details about what it is seeing while running.

If you want to keep them and use them in Channels, yes.

sure. I'm gonna leave my files alone to have easy comparison.

would an option for the script to move them be feasible?

I never thought of it but that's a great idea!
This should be possible. I will look into it.

Latest version looking good - great job! Now only needs an 'Automatic Delete' option to delete found orphaned files.
