Xteve alternative

recently came across this app that’s essentially a retooled xteve. active development. definitely recommend checking it out.

I have Thread Fin and yes it works testing with Plex have not tried ChannelsDVR yet due to using IPTVBoss, but I also found StreamMaster and trying to figure out who is better.

Just setup xteve this weekend. A bit of a learning curve to get it into my synology container but finally got there.
Also been trying threadfin. Haven't been successful in getting it running. It also hasnt been developed a lot lately. Looks like a lot of arguing going on in their threads as well. Sounds like the dev is working more on a new project doing a total rework of threadfin as a different github project.

Going to try streammaster next.

I've used both xTeve and Threadfin. Like Threadfin better, more stable and less bugs than xTeve. Also setup on a Synology. Happy to share my steps to get Threadfin working if needed.

Haven't tried Streammaster, will check it out cause I like to tinker.

Shouldnt bring up old thread but i have some experience, I have used Xteve and Threadfin and the amount of work it takes to keep it going is crazy and also on Plex side unless you have good guide with channel eps and seasons it the recordings are all over the place, Think i spent days mapping to channels etc,

Since mmoving all IPTV to Channels i have had no issues with I have alot off IPTV and use Iptveditor for EPG and remove alot of channels, also to be able to have only put on certain channels on different devices is good it just works, I know its not in Plex for example but supper simple to have app on TV.
Yes it costs but when you look at it 2hrs of your time is cost of the service a year and it just works when i click record.

You can input M3U and XMLTV directly from Channels DVR to Plex without using XTEVE ... all channels will be mapped.

Can i ask how that can be done as i thought you had to put IP into live TV on Plex xteve just replicates the TV Homerun device, Or do you mean just chuck in the DVR IP Address on web example

Thank you i will download the new release and see how it goes. This would be so good

Thanks again for posting this

So obviously we can load out M3us from iptveditor directly as sources into channels, but if we need to route through a vpn, xteve or threadfin hopped through glutetun or such is the only solution. Am I wrong here?
