YTTV Fox Sports Cable provider authentication failed

Is there any reason that running todays software 2023.01.13.0004 would prevent me from being able to watch Fox sports channels with YTTV? FS1/FS2 were working until I installed the beta version to try this and now I get nothing except "Tuner Unreachable" - I would have thought that if the 4K was not available, that it would just connect the 720p

It does. Is there any errors in the logs?

Sorry, but where are the log files? I see a logs folder but only with comskip and recording folders and nothing in there seems to be related to trying to watch FS1 or FS2 live.
EDIT: found log file:

2023/01/12 19:06:46.912271 [ERR] Could not start stream for TVE-YouTubeTV ch6198 FS2: TVE: Cable provider authentication failed

So authentication failed, but it worked right before I updated to the latest software and now it doesn't work

Looks like Google login found a Captcha - is this the problem? What is the solution?

What does the error screenshot look like?
Replace 127.0.0.1 with the IP address of your Channels DVR server

Make sure your chrome is up to date and any VPN is turned off

Do you mean this? Chrome is up to date and this PC never uses a VPN for external access.

Captcha generally appears when you're behind a VPN

I am VPN'ed from work to my home LAN right now and running remote desktop to the DVR PC, but that is a non-issue - this problem happened multiple times last night when I was at home and no VPN was in use and FS1/FS2 authenticated fine until I applied the software update

I know in the past some people have worked around the captcha but creating a completely new gmail account and adding that as a family account to yttv. Delete current yttv source in channels then readd yttv as a source on that email.

So, after reading around a bit - do I want to remove YTTV as a source, open NBC.com and log in, then add YTTV back in as a source? I'm afraid if I remove YTTV that other channels will start doing this as well...

Thanks - I was actually already doing that - using another gmail account under my main account

Might be time for a new one. Google doesn’t trust your current one anymore. AI ain’t so intelligent sometimes

Well, I removed YTTV, went to NBC.com and now YTTV will NOT add back in a source due to a CAPTCHA - so Channels DVR is now my OTA only DVR...

you should try what @Rice mentioned. Creating a new "family account" should work.
