Title says most, will there be any issues setting dvr up on this mac? I would like to be able to skip commercials.
Iām hosting my DVR on a MBP at the moment, with no issues. What processor do you have?
I am using an Early 2008 MBP 15, 2.4GHz, 6GB RAM, El Capitan (10.11) OS as my DVR. Storage is an external 2TB Western Digital MyBook Studio using FW800 connection. I have 11 tuners and when I ran some tests with all 11 tuners recording while watching an existing recording, I saw no issues. I do not use the Remote DVR feature.
I wanted to use a 2007 13" white MacBook but Channels required an OS newer than Lion (10.7), so I was unable to install on the 2007 Macbook.
