Google tells me that "awdl0" is "Apple Wireless Direct Link interface." For peer-to-peer stuff, like AirDrop.

I know what AirDrop is. It just made me think of any possibilities with it.
I'm not sure what's changed, I haven't touched my iMac server in over a month, but I noticed Channels DVR is now showing just the 2 interfaces, Ethernet and WiFi. "awdl0" is no longer listed.
