I seem to recall a setting to record in 5.1 sound but I can't find it nor does it show up in searches.
Suddenly my recordings from my HDHomerun are all in surround sound so I have to turn the volume way up to hear anything.
Is there a setting I can turn off and go back to stereo?
You can't change how they are recorded, but you can force playback
Settings > Playback > Advanced > Surround Sound: Off

i went to my settings tab and i did not see this option,
It's there in the client apps
HMMMM, the only option i see under settings playback, advanced is 'tuner sharing' -
no option for surround sound
What client are you using ?
right now the only 2 clients show as iphone for 1 and ipad for the other, but often times i use my HTPC to feed my system
i dont see the option for GLOBAL either
The setting is on your android or apple device, not on the web UI
