Your model already has an lte filter, so no need.
Do you lose any needed channels without the preamp? I would keep it off, with your readings.

just did a rescan and all the same channels are there.
Yes you should your signal quality indicates an issue. Try padding the signal down and see if the quality goes up.
To raise the Signal Quality, you need to aim the antenna.
150 - 175 degrees magnetic using a compass.
You want to use attenuators to get the Signal Strength just below 100%.
Then aim the antenna for the highest Signal Quality.
I'm pretty sure the Televes antennas only adjust gain per channel when powered.
