Pluto TV is Adding 7 New Free Channels This Month β Cord Cutters News
But will they open their API to them? And when will they get the Jeopardy channel in the API so we can use it in Channels?
Actually, I already got #1 and 2.
What do you mean by "open their API to them"?
You want to send software commands? I'm confused.
The channels aren't available through their API, so Channels DVR can't see them yet.
Happened previously with Sky News
And it's not being skipped like Sky News was, so it's not available through their API yet.
I have a task running each hour that appends the last hour of the Pluto for Channels docker log to a file.
It searches for skipped channels and so far only lists the 'fake' Announcement channel.
docker logs -t --since=1h pluto-for-channels 2>&1 | grep "Woke at:\|Grabbing EPG\|Last ran:\|Sleeping:\|Next run:\|Skipping\|can't rename" >>/volume1/arkives/plutocontainer.log

I'm not going to hold my breath on them adding Jeopardy or Wheel to the API. Sony is very protective of their IP. It sucks
CSI: Miami just showed up on Channels DVR
CSI: NY also
They label their episodes weird is there any way to fix this? for EX CSINY season 2 episode 206
Wouldn't help much, like lipstick on a pig. I found a lot of their episode numbers are wrong anyway when I was recording Pilots and Series 1 of shows.
I remember for one series the pilot episode (S01E01) was actually showing as S01E08 on Pluto.
After watching what it said was S01E01 I realized it was actually S01E03.
I then recorded what Pluto said was S01 E01-E10 before I figured it out.
Here's one example from Pluto
JAG (1995)
Episode name S##E## What Pluto says it is
A New Life S01E01 Pilot, Part 1 & 2
Shadow S01E02 Pilot, Part 1 & 2
Desert Son S01E03 Shadow
Deja Vu S01E04 Deja Vu
Pilot Error S01E05 Desert Son
War Cries S01E06 Brig Break
Brig Break S01E07 Pilot Error
Scimitar S01E08 War Cries
Boot S01E09 Sightings
Sightings S01E10 Scimitar
That's true. I have found that out too with Judge Judy recorded from Pluto. All their episode numbers are completely off and don't match TVDB. It's a pain to find a match and that can only be done manually.
I have a spreadsheet to keep track of episode numbers once matches have been found.
For example, Judge Judy S02E01 seems to match S01E205 shown on TVDB, Pluto's S02E02 = TVDB S02E42. It's pretty bad.
Previously (had to search for it).
