A few suggestions I would like to share to make the app perfect for me as its pretty close already

First of all I’d like to say thanks for making a brilliant app that works and works like a dream. I have bought both versions so far.

There are a few things that would make the app perfect for me I will list them below.

  • Being able to channel surf! This I found a little frustrating not being able to do. Sometimes I just want to flick up or down through the channels, especially with not having to go back out to the TV Guide (grid view). On both the IOS version and the TvOS version.

  • Manual Channel sorting! I noticed that the channels sort by number (at least in my region they do) and I would like the option to be able to manually sort them in order of how I wish, if not everywhere than at least just in the favourites list. On both the IOS version and the TvOS version.

  • The ability to launch a channel stream directly from the TV Guide (grid view) rather than having to select the watch video button again after selecting a channel from the grid.

Look forward to a reply on the possibility of these features being included in the app.

Other than these small gripes I have both apps are running flawlessly at this stage. Loving them and using them both daily! Thanks again!

Glad you’re enjoying the apps!

You can switch between your favorites easily while watching TV using the favs bar. On tvOS, swipe down to access it. On iOS you can swipe up/down at the bottom of the screen.

Favorites can be reordered in both apps, by either click-and-hold or tap-hold-and-drag on the Favorites tab.

To launch the video player from the grid view directly, tap the channel logo to the left of the grid.

I just figured out how to sort channels in favourites list before your reply haha! So happy now.

This is great. Thanks for your speedy reply. Obviously I just hadn’t figured out how to use the apps properly yet. Please excuse my ignorance.

I think that using physical keys for channel up / down, at least optionally, would be an useful improvement.
For example, I find using the apple remote very annoying, so I set up a harmony remote that works well. However I’d like to be able to map the channel up/down buttons to something that actually changes channels (favorites would be good), so the less technically inclined members of the family are comfortable enough to use the app so I can return the cable boxes.

We’ve tried to make buttons on the harmony and other remotes work but there doesn’t seem to be any API in tvOS to detect when they are pressed…
