I'm pretty sure rpaulmerrell is referring to "add-ons" such as ADBTuner or CCC. But that's just an educated guess on my part. I can definitely vouch for ADBTuner...it's a terrific project and I've had a very good luck with it. With the nuking of the Disney-owned content, I may need to expand my fleet of tuners now, though.
I think he's talking about the latest version of that project that got "delisted" here. It's basically a DRM crack, which pretty much falls into the same category as most IPTV, torrents and newsgroups.
I believe most of us here are looking for more legitimate methods for getting our content. No judgements though, we each need to make our own decisions about this kind of thing. It's just not the stuff of this forum.

Is there a chance that Channels Developers are looking into a workaround for this? With March Madness right around the corner and considering that Multi-View was just released, timing could not be WORSE!!!
Running the new nightly build with all the channels removed, noticed this one is still listed but has the DRM issue

Unfortunately at this point, a DRM crack is exactly what we need. We're already paying for all this content.

There's no legal way for them to do it or they'd have already done so. Just look at all the hassle Silicondust has had trying to legally implement ATSC 3.0 DRM.
I am curious how Google et al get to implement Widevine in a free browser though.

Well, Google gets to do it because it owns the technology. Google has licensed that technology to other browsers to foster adoption.

Yeap I’m basically doing the same calls as the apps do or the browser does with api calls. License request get the Dash and Pash but I don’t provide streams you have to use your own provider. All credentials get stored on your data mount works.

So DIRECTV I was able to find how to request channel streams and reverse engineer there iphone app along with the browser request when requesting a stream it calls on one of the api to request the stream and another to check CDM license then gives you the license along with the encrypted stream, I unencrypted it and send it back to the player unencrypted. Fubotv was easy same process but some of there channels are not DRMs but I do have a check if they ever do turn into DRM it will be able to get the stream, espn same process as DIRECTV, Frndly was the easy one no drm straight HLS streams.
I was also able to register Fubotv, Frndly as TV devices so no password needed. Token refresh was little tricky but got it to work. ESPN/Disney use its own api with a chrome profile saved for cookie that expires in 180 days. Yea took lots of work late nights but I have something working.

What I'm basically saying is that Pluto, Samsung and Tubi are able to get the stream from ABC, so if you want it and the Channels devs can't make it work, use one of those sources to bring it in.
Maybe the reason the devs didn't remove it is they're trying to get that one channel working again. Only they know for sure.
