Just like it says - I know you can add additional drives/folders, but would prefer to just have the default recording folder be on a different drive (and not have to keep moving recordings from one drive to another when it gets full).
You can change the default path by unchecking the dvr checkbox and changing the setting in the input box below

So that will keep all of the "key" Channels files (DB's, settings, etc.) on the original install drive, but allow you to have all (future) recordings saved to a new drive, correct?
The Database folder just contains backups.
The main database isn't on the dvr drive
Is there any reason not to clean out the accumulation of older backups periodically ?
Up to you how many backups you want to save.
Channels DVR keeps the last 30.
They're only needed if you want to restore a backup.
Sometimes there may be more than one per day.
