Ability to set a label for a show at the pass level

Channels does an awesome job of mixing all content together in a central location. However, it would be nice to use some of the other available metadata in personal section queries such as source and channel number for recorded content.

This would allow for personal sections like:
Newly recorded OTA -- either by source=X or channel number < 150
Newly recorded Sports -- source = eplusTV
Newly recorded TVE -- source = TVE and source = adbtuner

I know I could do labels but this would only be effective if i were able to add a label to recorded items from a pass which cannot be done today.

Update: thinking this could be done with an advanced query, i tried setting up a personal section with all content recorded from Discovery. I tried ChannelNumber=6101 but it didnt return any results. It would be really nice if all metadata was available for advanced queries, then possibilites would be endless :wink:

This has been mentioned before and got my mind working.
Added to my list of ideas for automation while waiting for an official feature. :wink:

Channel Number is already in smart rules for recordings/episodes/movies. This is only for those types as TV Shows do not have this information.

Additionally, Source is not something that is tracked per recording, so that won't ever be a possibility.

Understood so maybe I need to re-word my FR to be able to set a label at the pass level as this would solve it since you can build a personal section based on a label

{If} they allowed setting labels in passes, it would not label a show, only the episodes of the show that were recorded by the pass. A pass can also record more than one show/movie. Or it would label any Movies recorded by the pass.

I agree it would be nice to have this ability in a pass to label its recordings.

Things are disconnected in CDVR when it comes to the difference between a show and it's episodes. A show and it's episodes(serial), a show and it's one special episode(special, event), a sport (show) and its games (episodes), a special event (show w/one episode), etc.

I think the reason is that CDVR is based on gracenote EPG and follows its classifications breakdown, which is limited (isn't granular enough)?
