ACC Network

Does your cable provider not offer SDV tuning adapters for TiVo? I'm pretty sure that this is a requirement for cable providers that are required to provide CableCARD.

They do, but for some reason certain channels still don't work. I've switched out tuning adapters, etc in the past and they never all seem to function. One week SEC Network will work fine, the next week when the Prime re-scans it won't find it at all. They blame it on signal levels, but the signal levels are fine and my TiVo has no issues with these and it uses the same kind of TA.

SDV channels (those requiring a TA) can take a while to tune, and when the Prime runs its background scans every couple of days (which you can't disable) it has a brief timeout waiting for a channel to tune (which cannot be adjusted). So, channels that you can receive and tune will randomly appear and disappear from your lineup. SD is aware of the issue, but they don't seem to think it's a problem, and don't seem to think it's an issue to be addressed or necessitates allowing the user the ability to modify.

TiVo doesn't have those problems because they don't run any background scans; TiVo just reads the channel list from the CableCARD. SD made the decision to do scans and modify tuner lineups to provide what they feel is a superior experience. I'll leave the decision over which method is superior to you.

(I imagine it will come down to a distinction similar to their slice guide versus a traditional grid: they feel their method is better or right, so you don't get the option.)

Still cannot get ACC Network to show up in Channels running on my computer using my YTTV credentials...Even deleted YTTV as a provider and re entered it still a no go

You have to update your DVR to the pre-release first. Click-and-hold on the "Check For Update" button. Then after the update, click pencil icon under YTTV and Edit at the top right. Scroll down to find ACC and click Rescan.

It looks as though ACC is not available with TVE credentials yet. When I try to authorize my TVE source for ACC, I get this error in Channels:

notAuthorized: ACC Network and ACC Network Extra are currently unavailable within the ESPN App. Our team is working diligently with your TV provider to enable access. Please check back for updates, and in the meantime you can enjoy ACC Network on your TV. Contact your TV provider for local channel listings.

I tried this with both DirecTV and Spectrum logins, and they both return the same error. (The wording is slightly different between the providers, but the gist is the same: TVE logins are not yet supported.) Whether that means that other logins/providers are working and Spectrum and/or DirecTV are just not yet enabled, or that no third-party logins are working yet, I don't know.

Does anyone have a successful stream of ACC through Channels? Every post seems to be about problems, but I don't recall any of them mentioning success. ...

It's working on YTTV:

It worked!!! Thanks

Works with PS Vue.

I was able to get it using Verizon FiOS + cable card + HDHR Prime + ChannelsDVR
with the patient assistance of tmm1 (which you can read in this thread, above).

Essentially, it required that I

  • update the Channels version to 2019.08.26.2106,
  • update the HDHR Prime using the Channel Detection button at my.hdhomerun.com,
  • in the Channels Settings, click the gear icon in the HDHR area and then Scan Network,
  • then update the Guide data by clicking the circle icon under the HDHR Prime tuner,
  • After all that, check for the presence of the ACCN among your list of channels by clicking the pencil icon under the HDHR Prime tuner.
-If the ACCN is in your list of channels under the pencil icon under the HDHR Prime but is still absent when you look at the Guide, then go to the Channels DVR Settings (on your tv) and re-run the search for channels. Click on the heart (favorites) next to the ACCN channels [829 in HD and 329 in SD].
    And yes, it finally appeared.

As of this morning I can finally get ACC Network to authorize with my Spectrum credentials through TVE (finally!). ESPN had how many years to plan for this launch and still couldn't get it right?

Is this available on Dish yet? I can access with my Dish credentials through ESPN but not showing up on TVE yet.
