Access is denied message in log

Channels DVR Server

My Channels DVR (on Windows 11 pro) is no longer running after attempting to upgrade itself. I looked in the log and I'm getting some "Access is denied messages" I'll include the partial log below:

I looked at the file in question: X-VIRTUAL.airings\store\root.bolt and the permissions look okay. Is it possible the file is corrupt? How can I fix this?

Looks like it either failed to create the new version directory C:\ProgramData\ChannelsDVR\2024.12.10.0055 and download to it, or it's failing to read from it.

Channels DVR should have read/write access to C:\ProgramData\ChannelsDVR\

I'm not sure if Channels DVR on Windows uses a latest symbolic link, like it does on Linux.

You definitely have some permission issues going on.
Very strange that it's running a very old stable version.

Are you running Channels DVR server as a service or at login? Make sure that the user it runs under is in the Administrator Group. This is required to make changes to special directories such as c:\ProgramData
