Activity Not Showing

When I go to "http://MYIP:8089/dvr" I get a page that I can see everything that is currently being streamed from my channels DVR server. But it is not showing up under the activity page.

Is there a reason for this? I have turned on tuner sharing and it is the same both ways.

Thanks!!!

Tuner sharing is a setting in each Channels client app you use. If the client device Channels app doesn't have tuner sharing enabled, it won't show up in the web UI.

yep understand that... but they all show up under "http://MYIP:8089/dvr" but not under the activity section on the admin page.

This is the same for when tuner sharing is enabled in the client and disabled in the client.

Not sure what you mean by "they all show up"

those are my streams showing up when going to "http://MYIP:8089/dvr"

Here is what my activity looks like though.....

I "think" what you're trying to say is that the web UI doesn't reflect all activity you see happening in the subscription you just posted.
If so, that's true.

That is exactly what I am trying to figure out.... Why under activity it is showing idle even though I have multiple streams going.

Did you look at http://MYIP:8089/dvr/events/subscribe ?
Some events are not published to the web UI activities section which actually appear here.

I have not. Is there a specific reason why they wouldn't be posted to he UI?

Basically what I am looking for is a quick way to see if someone is streaming in the event I have to do server maintenance or something like that. I can use the /dvr page to see also but didn't know if this was intended that not everything showed up under activity.

There are things the devs decided not to show on the web UI activity and others that don't even get logged in the Channels DVR Server log.

Items being played that are streamed through the server I would think they would want showing in the activity section.

As for logging, I have verified it is logged in the server logs and shows up under the /dvr

Is there a set of criteria something has to meet to get displayed under activity?

Would love for one of the devs to chime in here!!

Thanks

Sounds similar to Channels DVR shows Idle in Settings all the time, but its not

Does it work in a different browser?

Does the browser console show any js errors? Does it say "jsonpipe connected"?

Same thing with all browsers and trying to go to it through my.channelsdvr.net

But I did take a look at the developer tools in Chrome and am getting "pending" on "http://MYIP:8089/dvr/events/subscribe"

When I try to browse to that URL directly it just sits and spins....

and apologies... you were looking for this too:

I can also CURL it from the local box and from my PC and see the streaming events pop up:

So this looks to be a browser js issue.

Found my issues.....

Your linked forum post sent me down a path of seeing if something security related was blocking. Since I host the server in a different security zone off my Firewall, i looked there first, nothing. Took a look at sophos.... it looks like sophos thinks these sites have malware. So I added my server IP as an exemption and BAM it worked.
