Can you add a language option to the DVR recording feature?
While I could easily block the channels in the languages that I do not want to watch, it might be just as easy to select the language I want to record in.
Can you explain what’s getting recorded in the incorrect language?
I will create a Pass and some of the recordings will be pulled from Spanish language channels. I assume the App is searching for the episodes from the channel list regardless of the channel or language. I can get around this by blocking the spanish language channel for example, but I wanted to see if you thought it was worth adding an language option to the DVR recording feature.
On another note, sometimes the Passes will pull in a bunch of other shows. For example, I created a Pass for Tangled Before Ever After (2017) for my daughter and the Pass pulled 37 shows ranging from westerns to various movies.
Another language example. I created a Pass for the walking dead and it pulled up an episode in spanish on NBC Universo
Can you give me an example of some shows where this is happening? Did you actually end up with spanish recordings, or you just noticed that those channels were included?
When the DVR goes to record, it always prefers channels which have been favorited. The assumption was that you have probably favorited the channel in the correct language, so the others ones will be ignored.
This sounds like a bug. I think that’s a movie, so it shouldn’t have let you make a pass for it. Did you create this pass via the ATV or web UI? Can you recall which screen you created the pass from, so we can figure out what’s causing this? (A couple other people have reported it in the past too.)
It was not the Tangled movie. Tangled ever after is supposed to be a TV show, but it does show up under Movies however. Maybe that it the problem.
In regards to the languages. I just checked and I do not have any spanish language channels in my list Favorites.

Tangled: before ever after was the made for TV movie. You want Tangled: The Series. When I searched Tangled it was one of the choices. My daughter also wants to watch the Rapunzel show.
Okay. And the Pass issue with the Tangled Ever After seems to be cleared up with the new Beta version.
