It would be super helpful to be able to record a show that is already in progress.
Press Down to bring up the Quick Guide while viewing, and select Record below the program's description.
(Note: Because the live buffer is on the client, not the server, the recording will only start from when Record is selected.)
I was able to program my Harmony hub remote to bring up the recording option when I push the record button on the remote. Also, you can go to the On Now section and choose the show you are watching, long press that button, and select record, while you are in picture in picture mode.

May I briefly ask what you did to map the Harmony's 'record' button? I'm sure it's easy enough, but when I set mine up I didn't bother to really mess with it that much.
Added windows computer as a device, and added record button on windows computer to my Firestick 4K activity.
For Picture in Picture, I did the same thing using the windows computer "P" button.
