Adding local movie trailers option

Hi,

Brilliant integration of local movie & tv show library into Channels DVR!

Would it be possible to add an option to play a local trailer within Channels DVR? Say next to the "watch button"?

I have around 150 movies in my library & have setup some other software to download trailers and put them into a sub directory within each movie folder - So for example G:\movies\alien\trailers\trailer.ext

I'd like to get a sort of Extras feature added to movies for things like behind the scenes and other things out there for movies. I think this is where Trailers would live.

Does anyone have any opinions on how Extras for matching movies should be stored? I was thinking something along the lines of an Extras directory that had content inside a directory named the same as the corresponding movie.

For example:

/Movies/Back to the Future.mkv
/Extras/Back to the Future/Trailer.mkv
/Extras/Back to the Future/Alternate Ending.mkv
/Extras/Back to the Future/Behind the Magic.mkv
/Extras/Back to the Future/Bloopers.mkv

That sounds perfect (and would be a great feature)!

For me, the ability to record a movie, to add a local trailer and be able to watch it via a Channels DVR client (Im using the Channels DVR Amazon Fire TV app) would be very useful

Perhaps take a look at the Kodi Wikis for file naming and folder placement.

Any update / news on this?

There's no timeline on this.
