How can I keep the last 5 episodes of each show when using Advanced Pass with multiple times selected?
So if 5 shows were recorded last night, they would be Trashed the next day when any 5 unrelated new shows from any time are recorded.
The keep rules apply to all recordings from the pass, so you can't do it per show unless you setup multiple passes.
You can use your prime time rules to catch programs and set it without a keep limit. Then, if one of the prime time shows catches your interest, make a new pass for that show with the keep options you want. Afterwards, ensure that your show specific rules all have higher priority than the prime time rule, so when the DVR looks to create recordings, it will use the higher priority show-specific rule with your keep options.
In this way, your generic prime time rule will be a catch-all for programs without a specific rule. To get the most use of this setup, put your prime time generic rules at the very bottom of the priority list.

Two questions: On the following, If I just record Advanced Pass for Channel 2.1, Last 5 Only, and Time==8PM will it save Last 5 for each if it is 2 half hour shows, or only if it is a 1 hour show?
If I create two Advanced Passes program Time==8:00PM and Time==8:30PM, and the show is a 1 hour show, will it end up with two 1/2 hour shows or one 1 hour show.
And, is there anyway to copy and paste in Advanced if I want to create 36 Advanced Passes?
It will record based on the guide, so if there is something matching at 8pm for 1h it will record 1h starting at 8pm. The keep settings apply based on number of recordings made.

I guess if I want to duplicate the DishTV Prime Anytime to save 5 shows each I have to do the following:
Per Network:
I have to create 3 Advance Pass recordings for each day (8PM, (9PM 10PM)
Times 7 Days = (3 x 7)= 21 Advance Recordings per Network
Then, 5 Prime Time (CBS, ABC, NBC, CW, Fox).
So, (5 networks x7 days)=105 Advance recordings to be sure that I can have 5 recordings of each network show in PrimeTime.
Any chance a modification can be added to Keep 5 to Keep 5 each show?
Hopefully I am missing something.
