Would it be possible to have the advanced pass include day of week as an option (e.g., record only Friday’s episode of a program each week).
Yes this is already possible.
First create a season pass via Search.
Then on the web UI, go to Passes and edit the pass you created in the advanced editor. Add a condition:
Time CONTAINS Friday
Click Add and then Save. You should see the number of matching rules decrease once you add the restriction.
In the future this will be easier and more straight forward to do allowing for all kinds of different things.
This is perfect. Hopefully we can do it for time as well. My wife is recording some international shows and they do repeat multiple times a day (2-3). Now i have multiple copies of the same show per day. Of course they are not flagged new by verizon so i just have to record all episodes. If i can record specific times then that would be great.

Is the “Day Time” designation, as noted, no longer working?
It should still work. Here are the valid formats:

Should work… Are you sure the pass you’re editing has airings at that time? You should be able to click the “N airings” link to see which ones are matching.
Post some screenshots if you can.
Just the day includes the three airings.
Adding the time indicates 0 airings.
Guide has an airing at 10:00 PM.
And if you click the “3 airings”, it also shows the 10:00PM showing there?

yeah, i see that now, as soon as you enter anything for time, it goes to 0
I just tried here and it seems to be working. I tried “Thursday”, “8:00PM” and “Thursday 8:00PM” and it filtered as expected.
