Ok. If I want to try the pre release how would I?
I poked around DVR settings and the beta forum but don’t see any obvious how to.
Because for some reason it's hidden. Need to know basis I guess.

Yup. After installing the pre-release the On Later link in the iOS app works.
Also…the pre-release install was very smooth. Paused a show, updated, resumed watching. All in a couple minutes.
