All Recordings disappeared

I tried reinstalling the DVR and all the recordings and passes disappeared. Also my backups are only from today and have 0 recordings in them.

Is there any way to recover them?

I’m running Mac OS Sequoia.

Check the location you are storing your videos. Look at:
/Settings/General/Library Database
Storage Path

I see a bunch of backups from today but they all say 0 recordings.

If you previously had it installed on the same Mac, Channels DVR does a daily backup.
Look for the last backup it did before your reinstalled Channels DVR on it.

If you moved Channels DVR, you should have followed these instructions Channels Support - How do I move Channels DVR Server to a new computer?

Is this the same location as you used for the previous install? You may need to point back to the original location. Also consider what chDVRuser stated.

It is installed in the same place. I only see backups from today and none from before. All the backups have 0 recordings. I do see the recordings in a different folder.

Under settings/General my install path is: /DVR/Database

Shouldn't it be /DVR ?

/DVR/Database is where Channels DVR puts the backups

Yes, the settings/General is /Dvr/. I meant that I found the old backup files in /Dvr/Database

The backups Channels DVR did before you reinstalled it will be in your previous dvr directory, whatever that was.

So if it was /DVR, the would be in /DVR/Database.
If it was /Dvr, they would be in /Dvr/Database.
If it was /dvr, they would be in /dvr/Database.

Case sensitive folder names.

Are you running Channels DVR in a Docker Container, or a bare metal install?

When you restore a backup, you select the folder that the backup folders are in and click Open

Then it will show all your backups and let you select one to restore from

Thank you but I went to the previous dvr folder and could see previous backups but none of them list any recordings or passes. Not sure why this is happening. I can see all the recordings.

That is strange.
I see the last 30 backups, going back 21 days.

I think it deletes backups to only keep the last 30.

Did your new install backup 30+ times and delete your old install backups in the Database directory?
Every time time you restart or update Channels DVR, it does a backup.

As soon as I reinstalled all my old backups were gone.
