Allow local sat>IP + remote DVR simultaneously

I use Channels DVR connected to my server in a different country, and I also have a SAT>IP server locally. I have no way of mixing them both into my Channels app, other than connect both locations through VPN: I can add the SAT>IP local source at the remote server, but then the SAT>IP stream travels back and forth, and I don't have enough bandwidth for that.

Couldn't you add a server-side client setting (Server Side Only section) to make a source only available to specific clients, so they can use the local IP address of the stream source? Thanks.

Only the dvr server knows how to connect to Sat>ip.

Thanks for clarifying. Aside from that, I remember some talk about HDHR emulation. I assume that door is also closed. But seeing the rapid pace of improvement, I'm sure you'll come up with some imaginative idea in the future, maybe 2 simultaneous server connections, o some sort of quick switch between servers. Thanks!
