ALPHA: Import TV local content into DVR

Nope, nothing out of the ordinary in the logs, it's the same line that everything else has and nothing extra:

2020/09/02 19:18:35.755006 [SCN] Imported TV show Black Clover/Season 1/Black Clover - S01E51 - Proof of Rightness (HDTV-1080p).mkv
2020/09/02 19:18:36.188703 [SCN] Imported TV show Black Clover/Season 1/Black Clover - S01E52 - Whoever's Strongest Wins (WEBDL-1080p).mkv
2020/09/02 19:18:36.649294 [SCN] Imported TV show Black Clover/Season 1/Black Clover - S01E53 - Behind the Mask (WEBDL-1080p).mkv

Thanks for the info. Looks like season 1 has a space between "Sx Ex", which is causing the scan issue. I will fix that case.

So what do you mean by not picked up? It not showing up on the client? Or the web UI?

I renamed the files and saw no change after removing the import and re-importing

Can you submit diagnostics from your DVR

Sure. I just checked the TV shows library on my Shield Yellowstone S01 is still missing. The Web UI is the same.
Logs have been submitted as 1189ff91-4266-4588-ba1f-b59445636ecc

I might have figured out the problem. Season 1 is .WTV files

Ah okay. I couldn't see the extension in your screenshots.

Changing the extension to MP4 allows correct import and playback. Sorry to jump the gun with a non-issue!

I have added support for .wtv files in the next pre-release. And support for the space in between SxEx as well.

Thanks. I just used a bulk rename utility and changed all the extensions to MP4. But that will solve issues for the future imports for former Windows Media users.

It looks like all the file renames have imported.

I just submitted diagnostics. Let me know if you need anything else.

@jasonmcroy Thanks! Looks like when you setup the share you need to make sure there's a trailing slash.

broken: \\192.168.1.24\TV_Shows

working: \\192.168.1.24\TV_Shows\

This only seems to happen when you add a share directly (vs adding a folder within the share).

I'm looking into a fix, but the simplest workaround for now is to add that trailing slash.

Awesome! Yeah, that works perfectly. I am importing the shows now. I will work on movies later. Fortunately I will have more time this week to put in time for watching more movies and give this a good testing.

It doesn’t pick up any episode information, but it does pick up the file and gives it an epoch time for air date.

Getting this

2020/09/04 21:10:28.840195 [WRN] Scanner ignoring TV path inside DVR folder: D:\Playon
2020/09/04 21:15:28.896342 [WRN] Scanner ignoring TV path inside DVR folder: D:\Playon
2020/09/04 21:16:17.896028 [WRN] Scanner ignoring TV path inside DVR folder: D:\Playon
2020/09/04 21:17:45.487449 [WRN] Scanner ignoring TV path inside DVR folder: D:\Playon

This is the path
D:\Playon\Homeland\Season 8\Homeland - s08e01 - Deception Indicated.mp4

Your dvr directory and imports directories must be separate. We recommend a dedicated directory during dvr setup like D:\DVR

This is a major step forward that I've been looking forward to for a long time. Thank you!

A couple of specific seasons that seem to be missing from the data provider:

./Yes Minister/Season 3/S03E01 Equal Opportunities.m4v
./Yes Minister/Season 3/S03E02 The Challenge.m4v etc.

Also there is a Christmas Special of the same programme. When that was in a folder called 'Christmas Special' (rather than Season X) it was missed entirely from the import. When I renamed the folder to Season 4 and the file accordingly to S04E01... then it was imported, but no match to metadata.

The other seasons of the same programme are working fine.

Specials go in Season 00. You can find the episode number by looking up the special on zap2it and naming accordingly.

Awesome - thanks for the hint!

Which zap2it website should I be looking at? Google search points me at tvlistings.zap2it.com but that appears to be down right now?
