AMC and associated channels playback fails

I'm getting this with Spectrum TVE now.

Have you tried rescanning the channel on your server? That worked for me a few days ago.

Update the dvr release version. It was fixed a few days ago.

Its not letting get anything newer than 1.13

The latest prerelease and the latest stable version are

Must be something blocking your server from getting the update.

Nothing is being blocked. Im certain if it were, there would be an error. I tried downloading and running the installer and it detects that its already installed and launches it instead of updating it.

Frustration is building.

What happens when you select Check for Pre-Release?
Channels Pre-Release

And when you visit this url in your web browser it should display the latest version number.
Latest pre-release version 2022.02.03.2057

Check the dvr log to see why the update is failing

2022/02/04 12:43:47.832465 [SYS] Error checking for update: rename C:\ProgramData\ChannelsDVR\latest C:\ProgramData\ChannelsDVR\2022.01.13.2139: Access is denied.

It just goes out and looks and then says "Up to date!!!"

What is the full log line?

It sounds like permissions on c:\programdata\channelsdvr are incorrect

This can happen if you've switched from windows service to system tray

I did nothing. I'll poke around and look fat permissions

Its above, I edited with the full line.

I manually copied everything from the 02.03.2057 folder to 'latest' and it seems to be working.

I'm pretty sure on Windows that latest is a link and the user Channels DVR is running under doesn't have permission to change the link to point to the newest version that was downloaded (C:\ProgramData\ChannelsDVR\2022.01.13.2139).

Windows doesn't have links.

It does, but maybe that's not what you're using.

Sorry to revive an old topic, but I am seeing the issue with YouTubeTV. All channels as listed above.

Any suggestions on a fix? I have tried all suggestions above
