Android Phone Portrait view distorted

I was trying to watch something live yesterday on my Moto Edge+ 2023. When the stream is in portrait, it fills the screen and, as a result, looks distorted. Rotated to landscape is fine. Is there a way to get it to display a proper aspect ratio within a window when in portrait?

It's fine for me on my Samsung Galaxy S23 phone.
