having used the app in iOS and apple TV, I would really love to see an Android Phone app to complement the eco system.

Is one in the works ?

I've been wondering the same thing. Any particular reason this hasn't (or can't) happened yet, @tmm1? Is Android device fragmentation an issue or is it just a matter or priorities?
