I am using the Nvidia Shield pro. I really like the interface. However, when scrolling through the options on the left column the google search makes a sound every time. This is annoying in my opinion. Is there a way to change the way this functions?

Great! I also noticed that the search box is all that shows up. The iphone app has new shows and seasons, recommended shows, upcoming movies, etc. Does the alpha version have these in the search section?
Not yet but the features from Channels 4.0 will be slowly ported over to Android
I also have an Apple TV 4k. I will have to say that so many functions are much faster such as fast forward. I think I am going to like it better on the Shield. Do you have a time frame for the upcoming movies? That is something I am very interested in. It is much more convenient than the guide. Also, can I try the Alpha?
