Are there any plans from a dev standpoint to support Channels in a more "Android like" format for people with windows HTPCs?
Are there any plans on showing previews of other channels in lq like youtube tv does ? Perhaps there selling point.

Huh? I'm not really sure what you mean, but on Windows 11 you can install and run Android apps.
lq?
Yes But it would still be nice to have a native dvr functionality (like Nextpvr has) within Chrome.
I was trying to find an example, but when games are on this happens:

But there are previews of what is currently playing on that channel - albeit in lower quality so you can see if its a commercial or whatever.
If not, could you guys develop a native PC app that simulates the guide/channels and allows for bluetooth remotes on windows 10/11?
We don't plan to make a new app for PC. But you can run the Android app on Windows 11 and we plan to make it easier to install there via the Amazon App Store.
This really shows what I mean in action.

The live preview of stations. I think is a cool idea. However one that i think would take ton of resources and dedication to achieve.
Also issue is most TVE sources have a short delay before starting (second or two) which would make live preview channels harder to implement. Also it would require transcoding. Channels DVR server downloads content in original format, then would have to transcode it to lower resolution for the smaller image for a preview. So to get someone like this done, would require a lot of moving parts and probably take a lot of time.
As far as a windows client
The devs have expressed in a few threads a Windows app is not planned. TBH would be unnecessary. Very people use a HTPC anymore. Most techy people dont use HTPC anymore.
YoutubeTV and ESPN each have a little lag before channels preview as well. its nice to see if "the game" is still in commercial break.
Not sure why you wouldnt use HTPC. Youtube / Hulu have commercials that only can be blocked on pc. Kodi.Plex work with htpc.
