Annoying PIP issue

I am having issues with PIP on ShieldTV (2017) . Newer shield doesnt have this issue.

I have tried different remotes and uninstalling/deleting cache/data.

You could try changing the video decoder under Settings > Playback > Advanced

I tried all three options with no luck. I think something broke because I believe it worked 3 days ago. Is the older shield model interfering with the app? Do I need to run a logcat somehow?

That animation and the PIP window is controlled by the Android OS

I have tried rebooting several times. Trying turning off fully.

Still having issues. Performing a factory reset since you cant fix anything on your end it seems. Now that I think about it, I think it may have been twilight effecting it.

Looks like the issue was resolved. Twilight was likely the blame.
