I've got the Apple TV 4K. Second generation I believe. But I don't have a remote, so I use a programmble universal. Well, I bought a new 3rd party remote (non programmable) and it's forward/back buttons actually skip to new channels instead of go forward or reverse. Can someone tell me what the behavior of the OEM remote does? I'm thinking about buying an OEM Apple remote but only if the buttons do fast-forward and backward instead of skip or change channels.
Yes, fast forward and rewind are what the OEM remote does for that action.
