Long ago, when I was messing with comskip for an unrelated project, I had gotten the donor edition which apparently removes some built-in speed limits.
I was thinking about replacing the comskip binary in the latest version of Channels DVR with the one downloaded from the donor page and seeing if there's any speed improvement, but was wondering if it would be likely to work any better (or at all). Not sure if anyone's tried before or if there are customizations to the edition that Channels DVR ships with that will cause unintended consequences if I replace it.
