Any issues with cloning my Channels drive to a larger drive?

I'm considering replacing the 5 TB drive Channels is installed on with a 10 TB drive I just acquired. I'm considering cloning the current drive to the larger drive and just replacing it. I'm guessing a number of people have already done this, so I wonder - Are there any issues with doing that? I have an offline cloning dock and I could also use a software cloning solution. Is there an advantage one way over the other?

Thanks!

I have always just built a new Winslow 10 primary drive, then moved my channels data/DB to the new one and all is A-OK. I can't see why cloning would not work unless Winblows (10 or 11) see's a new UUID, then it will ask to re-register the OS.

I've always thought that so long as the directory path name remains the same, it should all be fine. But then again, I'm using a Mac. Not sure if Windows is different...

This is the way I do it ... Back the DB in the web ui ... Shutdown Channels DVR clone/copy over the stuff to the New Drive and do a restore from the new Drive. That way if something goes wrong you can do a restore from the old drive.

Just make sure if Cloning you put the drives in the correct deck.

Is this pretty much the same as you'd do when moving Channels DVR to a new computer and keeping all the add-on paths the same as they were?

I had run into instructions for doing that before but couldn't find them again.

Is this essentially what I'm doing?

Everything seems to be working without an issue. I did a backup before shutting down the computer, pulled the drive, and then did an offline clone of the 5 TB drive to the 10 TB drive. I then plugged the new drive into my daily driver and extended the 5 TB partition to the end of the drive in Disk Management. When I put it into the Channels DVR computer, everything started up like the drive had never been changed, except I had about 4.7 TB of free space. I looked for a way to do the restore, but I never found the option so I just let it be.

What does the restore do and from where is it initiated? Do I even need to do it if everything seems to be working as usual?

The restore is used if you change the Drive letter or mount point.... or If you ever have trouble and have to use a backup.

the restore is opened up using a web browser on another or same pc . .

Ever since changing the drive, I've been getting a Javascript Error whenever I edit the channel in Scheduled Recordings. That never used to happen so I wonder if it's tied to putting in the new drive even though the Disk Name, Drive Letter, and Paths are exactly the same as the prior drive.

The main reason I often edit the channel is to manually select a TVE channel or an OTA channel when I'm confident it will work in order to maximize how many of my 3 HDHR Prime channels will be available when needed.
