Coming from TiVo, I loved being able to buy a lifetime subscription. That said, has this concept been considered for Channels?
This has been asked in the past and the answer was "No". It makes no sense for a company to offer this unless they are hurting for short-term money. They are forced to support a product forever with no money to fund the support.
You may also recall that other companies have offered "lifetime" subscriptions, but the companies or products are now gone (I have a SlingBox in my junk pile).

Nope. And if you want to know why, use the Search feature and read the hundreds of posts of folks arguing about it.
Considered for a nano second the answer is no.
