I switched to att from comcast and my remote dvr and tve aren’t working. The dvr page says it can’t configure the router and to set the port forwarding manually. I’m not sure how to do this. Does anyone have detailed instructions how to configure this router? Thanks.
Yep, I have the exact same setup. You have to go into the firewall settings and set up port forwards using the Nat/Gaming function.
I read through the att articles and tried to follow them as best I can but it’s still not working.
Router
http://192.168.1.254/cgi-bin/apphosting.ha
Enter code off the back of the router
Add custom services
Make it look like this and hit add
Then choose service “channels dvr” and attach it to the correct ip/device that channels is running on. Then add
Then in your channels setting choose manual under remote settings
Thank you so much! I’ve got it up and running.
When I set mine up a couple of years ago, I also reserved the IP address for the pc running the server. Don't remember where that screen is, but it should be able to find.
I'm also having trouble with this. I have this exact setup and when I input everything exactly like you show and try to connect to my.channelsdvr.net, it just gives me the spinning wheel and won't display anything.
The bgw320 does NOT support hairpin nat. Hairpin nat is what allows you to use my.channels from your home network. When on home network you have to use your dvr server’s lan ip address. Mine is at 192.168.1.169 so to reach the dvr web ui I use http://192.168.1.169:8089/admin/settings
If you are off your home network you will be able to use my.channels to access your server. An easy way to test is to use your mobile phone. Disconnect from WiFi and use cellular data, open a browser and navigate to the my.channeldvr.net
Let me know if this works for you.
I think that's it! Thank you!
