Help with ip change

Hello to all as you can see in the picture i will attach below i am changing from my current internet provider (xfinity) to att fiber, and of course my entire ip address will change not to mention all of my configurations, I was just curious as to what, if anything I must do to get channels working with the new ip address, do i just input my new local ip address and end it with :8089 and it will start to work like nothing ever happened or must i reinstall or stop and start channelsdvr or anything at all? thanks in advance!

Yes
You will want to give the dvr machine a static ip.
If you want to enable remote streaming ability you need to port forward 8089 to the new ip of the server. They will probably give you a bgw320 router. Here is a guide on how to port forward that router.

thank you so much brother you are a lifesaver

"You will want to give the dvr machine a static ip."
From AT&T:
Static IP addresses are not free and typically come with a monthly fee. $15/mo
.
Can anyone confirm that you have to pay for home use Static IP address from AT&T fiber?

What I meant was give the server a reserved DHCP. Meaning the server will always have the same local ip address.

A static ip from att isn’t needed for channels but yes you can get a static ip from them for a cost and your external wan ip will not change. Actually I think you get a block of ip,s when you pay that fee.

These are two different things.

Giving your DVR a static IP, or DHCP reservation is relevant to your private network (LAN), and is something setup on the DVR host computer (static IP) or on your router (DHCP reseravation). This does not involve your Internet provider.

Having a static public IP, means that all traffic in and out of your residence always uses the same IP as assigned by your Internet provider. There will invariably be an upcharge for this, and is generally not required unless you have a specific need for it.

Thanks to both for the clarification.
