Anyone remember the green guide?

cleaning my old pc and came across this. totally forgot about it and that channels worked with Silicondust's streaming channels.

i miss the reminder option.

i wish there was more color coding like this. Windows Media Center really was ahead of its time with color coding, larger and easier to read UI, etc

When I used Kodi as my frontend, the first thing I did upon any new client install was to modify the skin to remove the genre colors. I much prefer Channels' approach by using colors for status rather than genre.

However, because Channels' detail display is less robust than most of us would like, I can clearly see why requests for genre colors in the guide pop up every 6 months or so.

I will celebrate the day - god willing - that this purple monster is finally slain.

the UI UX used to be much more similar as far as I can tell.

I always chime in on these posts and keep pushing for at least a dark/light theme. I’d love the option to change to just about anything but purple. I’d even be willing to pay for this feature… or make a donation to the devs for this.

I really miss WMC.

I also miss using the Carbon Channels version on Android TV cause it is a nice dark/transparent theme to it.

But, Google destroyed Android TV/Google TV, imo. And the Nvidia Shield, is kinda old now.

Apple TV is just they way to go...imo.
