Anyone here successfully using the Channels DVR on Truenas Scale with a HDHomeRun?

I just migrated over from a complicated Channels install using Proxmox + Docker on a old machine connected to an old slow Synology for storage (using NFS) that has been working flawlessly for years. The new install is on a much more powerful box running Truenas Scale and the Truenas Scale Truecharts Channels DVR app.

Now, all recordings stop shortly after starting with errors like "Cancelling stream 10811DF5/1 ch5.1 after no data was received for 6s". It is always 6 seconds. Eventually all four tuners get in use for the same recording and recording stops. The only meaningful difference I can see might have something to do with networking in Docker vs Kubernetes.

The HDHomeRun, the old box, and the new box are all connected to the same switch a few feet apart in a server rack. The old setup still works fine if I power the docker container back up, so it seems unlikely that the issue lies with the tuner.

You are probably right about the networking differences. All I can contribute is that I'm running on TrueNAS Core with no issues using TVE and HDHR Prime. The server runs on and old AMD FX4100.

This is Channels' default timeout. It sounds like you have some network/routing issues.

TrueNAS Scale is essentially a Linux-based OS using Docker/OCI containers for applications. You may want to check how your NAS' networking is setup, including its internal bridge interfaces.
