I have my local plex server collection added into movies and tv, is there anyway i could have non local plex servers added into my collection as well? My sister has her own plex server but wanted to get access to her server as well if its possible. Kind of merge her nonlocal stuff into my collection shared. Thank you.
No, the files need to be local.
You could use some networking skills to somehow remotely mount her file storage to your computer and import that, but I don't suspect you'll have a great time managing that or playing back that way.
Thought so. Any possibility you guys might seriously consider adding non local servers to this program? I seriously could see channels being almost a substitute for plex if you add certain features like this. Also please lift the cap on m3u playlist size. Thank you.
Are you asking if we'd support importing from Plex servers? The answer is, probably not.
As for being able to share Channels libraries between each other, the answer is no as well. Channels is designed specifically for a family at home (and streaming away from home), not for sharing content with each other like Plex.
