Channels app is crashing on start up IOS 9.3.5

I just tried deleting and reinstalling from the App Store with no luck in resolving the issue.

Please help!

Yes sir. Broken after update!

It looks like this has to do with some changes we made to the tvOS app and how the code is interpreted when run on iOS 9. Apparently iOS 10 has no issues with it.

Question: Is there any reason your device is still on iOS 9 and not upgraded to iOS 10?

With iOS 11 about a month away, we were planning to stop supporting iOS 9 anyways and require iOS 10 as a minimum. This issue is even more reason to do so since we’d have to wrap feature flags around a lot of things.

The fact that apple has made it an 8 hour event to update an iPhone including the download is the reason why I haven’t updated.

I guess I will have to update then. :roll_eyes:
