App to polish m3u8 Streams coming from CDVR

So a while ago I setup this system where CDVR handles the service aggregation and guide, and then Emby for front end and DVR. LOVE it. So far it works beautifully.

But, Vz has become insane. The $65 for gigabit is great and all, but my TV package that used to cost less than $20 is now more expensive than the internet once all the crazy TV taxes are added on. I'm not spending $80 a month on TV that's pretty much what folks used to call "basic cable". So, since the news is all phony BS these days I stopped watchiing it, so I started testing Philo. Philo works great for our purposes and it's dirt cheap.

The problem? It works as a TVE provider just fine. It's Emby. There's an oddity in the m3u I pull from CDVR where a few channels have spacing issues. Those spacing issues cause dropped channels in Emby.

So what I'm looking for is either some sort of a fix/config change within CDVR, or if necessary something I can throw up in the middle on a docker or VM that will clean up the m3u file before I have Emby pick it up. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance!

What Channels are you talking about a sample of how it appears in the M3U would help. There is an option in EMBY to match Channels in the M3U by number.

That's weird. I don't see the last option on that page. Running 4.7.14 in an Unraid Docker. It's happening on a few channels but the first one I noticed was the Food Network. Well, my wife noticed it, lol. Yes, the channel is there on CDVR, and plays through the CDVR app.

I see why I am running the beta Version 4.8.0.55 ... they probably saw the problem and corrected on the beta... I see it is not in the production release.

Ah hah! Thank you! I'll get the beta docker installed tonight. I should probably keep it installed anyway to test any future issues.

There’s no need to update your docker container to get the pre release, or really ever.

Channels DVR Server updates itself. The clicker image is rarely updated.

Just go to settings > status and you’ll see a drop down to update to the pre release.

Hah, there was no problem. I just forgot how to do this correctly. For some reason I thought the Channels playlist was a live feed, but then I realized no, I have to download it, put the file on the Emby server, and point Emby to it. So all is well, both in the GA release of Emby and the Beta.

Thanks for the help on this one. But it is pretty cool when something works so well that you forget how to set it up because you haven't had to touch it for 2 years.
