"Apple account verification" "Enter the password for..."

Ever single day, a few times a day, my ATV4K second gen is prompting me to log in again.
I don't connect to the ATV from anything other than Channels DVR. That's the only account logged in.
Any ideas? Someone in Apple forum suggested Channels might be the culprit.

I always just click "Not Now" because logging in only helps for like one day and then I get the messages again. I don't subscribe to Apple TV. I only have an account to use the hardware which streams my other non-Apple subscriptions.

This has nothing to do with Channels or any other app. This is for the Apple TV itself. Do you have an Apple account? Formerly known as Apple ID. If so, log in with that and you should be set.

Already did, it did not help.

The account that your Apple TV is prompting you for, is in fact the Apple Account (Apple ID) used to sign in to your Apple TV, as @_Mike said.

If re-signing in is not working to remove the prompt, you should seek help from Apple, as this really has nothing to do with Channels.

So the only app installed on this device is Channels? Or do you have other apps too? One easy troubleshooting step I'd recommend then, is starting over.

Have you tried resetting the password on your Apple Account?

If so, and that still doesn’t work, the next thing I’d try is restoring the AppleTV to factory settings. (Yes, this means setting up the AppleTV as a new device.) Then, log in with your Apple Account, and download Channels, from the App Store. Along with any any other apps you use.

One pro tip though is If you have the "One Home Screen" feature enabled, all of your apps will restore automatically with the same icon placement on the Home Screen that you had previously.

You will however have to log back in to Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, MAX, etc.

My bet is those recurring pop-ups will go away after this: Reset or restore your Apple TV to its factory settings - Apple Support
Maybe Apple support has a better way, that's just what I'd try if I were in your shoes.

Completely removing my account from the device and then adding it back, seems to have resolved the issue. Didn't need to reset anything else.
