Apple Intelligence generated subtitles?

Not sure if I’m interpreting what the new apple LLM API will be capable of correctly.

But with those newer Apple devices with access to Apple intelligence (hopefully the next Apple TV), would it be possible to have on device subtitle generation?

Would be super cool for personal media lacking subtitles and of course live tv channels via ADBTuner or the likes.

Subtitles generation via ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition)

Could we add a possibility of generating subtitles for the recordings or even for the live programs on the fly? An eighth gen quad core i5 can achieve 5x speed when using tiny.en model in whisper: Just like with hardware transcoding, having a GPU would speed things up quite a bit and allow for the larger and more accurate models to be used. I’m meaning on device, not via the server. Supposedly the on device Apple speech recognition is really quick and accurate.

But I suppose either would be fine in my eyes.
