Apple TV Asking Me To Complete Setup

Channels DVR is installed on my 2008 iMac running OS X 10.12

The AppleTV application is telling me to go to my_ip_address:8089 in my browser, which of course brings me to a configuration page that says I’m good to go.

My hdhomerun prime is being detected. My save location is defined, and there is plenty of free space.

There are basically no options.

This isn’t a small tweak. The core concept of going back and forth between the tv and the computer, in this way, is poor design.

As-is, I’m paying for something that I can’t use, so can you let me know what the Channels ATV app means when it is asking me to ‘complete the setup?’

Can you screenshot what you see?

Usually this error means you didn’t click the “Add to DVR” button under your HDHomeRun on the DVR settings web UI.

I've had the same problem. The AppleTV is asking me to go to the address. I go to the address and I'm not sure what to do next. Here is a screen shot.

Under the hdhomerun click the plus icon where it says “Add to DVR”
